Matiash Vlog Ep.009 – Drone filters and remembering blogs

Remember blogs? It’s somewhat of a rhetorical question but there is some weight to it. I love my blog and I enjoy embedding the content that I share from all over the Internet here but if I’m being honest, I don’t remember the last time I actually visited another person’s blog. These days, if I want to learn more about someone or see what they do, I go to Instagram, YouTube or Twitter. Rarely will I seek out an individual’s website and when I do find one, more times than not, it hasn’t been updated in a while. So, this is one of several topics covered in this vlog. I welcome your thoughts on the matter, too!

Just as with yours, I visit many blogs daily — via RSS feed. I very rarely “seek out an individual website,” but anytime they update, I do see it in my RSS feed. If the title is interesting, I then click and read.

Personally, I never go to Instagram (very low info-to-junk ratio), YouTube (takes much too long to get info from a talking head) or other sources. 500px “popular” is in my RSS feed, so I see those daily. Basically, no RSS means I never see you. No text version of blog means I never read you. I have zero interest in talking heads…
