The scramble down to Abiqua Falls is interesting to say the least. I’m still trying to decide whether I hated going down or climbing back up more but I am certain that it is worth it when you finally get there. However, as is the case with most of these natural destinations, there is so much more to the area than just the main attraction. When you’re surrounded by this much natural beauty, all that is usually required is to turn around to see an entirely different scene unfold.

I took this photo with my Sony a7R and Sony A-mount 16-35mm f/2.8 lens. I was able to get the camera right over the stream thanks to the long extension legs of my Really Right Stuff TVC-34L/BH-55 tripod. Stylization was done in Lightroom.
