Well, the bags are packed and the camera batteries are charged! The PhotoPlus Expo has always been one of my favorites each year partly because of the breadth of photographers that show up but also because it’s in my hometown of NYC! I’m really excited to catch up with close friends and new faces, all coming together because of the shared love for photography. I’m also really excited to see some of my good friends who are also Sony Artisans of Imagery present, like Vivienne Gucwa, Brian Smith, and Chris Burkard, to name a few. Sony will be at booth 519, so be sure to check it out. Also, if you’re still around this weekend, my buds, Elia Locardi and Ken Kaminesky are hosting a cool photowalk that Nicole and I will be attending. You can find more details about the walk over at Ken’s blog.
As for this image, I took it during my last trip to NYC back in June. I was mostly just roaming around the city light, just handholding my Sony A7 and Sony FE 24-70mm lens. That combination gives me so much power and zoom flexibility all while being super light. I can’t ask for much more than that. And with that, be sure to sound off in the comments if you’re going to be in NYC, attending PPE, going to the walk or all of the above!
