The Fingerlings II

It had been a while since I looked at the photos I took last year at Silver Falls State Park in Oregon. It was a great time and I walked away with one of my most favorite photos that I’d ever taken called The Fingerlings. Most every visit to Silver Falls yields great results for landscape photography but if you can time it so that you arrive when there is atmospheric fog floating all around, that’s when things pay back with dividends. Not only does the fog help give depth to the photos, it also helps diffuse light, which resulted in this beautiful and soft backlighting.

This is gorgeous! I love being able to follow the water curve up to the top of the image, watching it ever so slightly peek through the trees.
