The ways and the means

I love it when I can find some unique elements to accentuate a rapid stream. This boulder was a perfect fit for this little bit of Fall Creek in Glide, OR. Not only did it provide a nice geometric presence but it also helped introduce color contrast with its green moss set against the blue water. It also serves as a fairly obtuse leading line, but I’ll take what I can get. :)

Love your images (although you are a beast for leaving a suffering Nicole at home alone). However, and I may be a party of one, I am beginning to think that all of us are over using the “dreamy” water effect. I almost feel that I need to contact Acme Chemical and tell them that their processing plant up stream has gone horribly wrong! Water should be exciting, add drama, and make us want to jump into the stream. IMO it is harder to capture real water over dreamy water! Now you can point and laugh at me!
