Lost places

I knew the processing that I wanted to apply to this image as soon as I saw it. It was taken at Pothole Falls, a quaint place located near Camas, WA. In reality, this waterfall was about 3 inches high… barely a trickle and was dumping into a small pothole in the earth as the location’s name would suggest.

Using Analog Efex Pro 2 (part of the Nik Collection by Google), I wanted to simulate an in-air tilt shift look, giving the illusion that this area was much larger than in reality. I had a lot of fun changing perception with this one and it’s something that I think I’m going to start exploring more going forward.

Love the effect! Now you just need to composite in some tiny people. :)
