A Half-forgotten Dream

The original plan was for Uncle Barry and I to scramble down to the beachhead here at the old Davenport Pier. The apps that we looked at predicted that the tide would be in our favor given that our path brought us pretty close to the shoreline. Reality, I must assume, didn’t download the same Tides app that Barry had and messed with out timetables, forcing us to be content with taking our photos from the cliff above.

It all worked out in the end because a few days after, we took another crack at it and made it down with the entire beach to ourselves.

I took this long exposure with my Sony A7 and applied a base VSCO preset which I then modified to taste.

Love the light. The birds (assuming cormorants or shags) complete it.

Very nice, almost looks like the top of the Golden Gate but all rusted and overtaken by weeds.

Awesome. To be honest, for a split second I thought I was viewing the top of the Golden gate sitting above clouds haha :)
