Stop ‘N Go

The day after landing in Portland last week, +Brian Bonham and I booked it through the Columbia River Gorge for some photo fun and to kill the hours until +Amy Heiden‘s flight was set to land at PDX. Right out of the gate, I was so excited to see the fog that danced throughout the entire expanse of the Gorge.

For this particular photo, Brian was gracious enough to pull his Wrangler over to the side of the highway while I jumped out to fire off a few frames. I couldn’t get enough of how the fog was hovering over this little waterfall. I was especially fond of all the different textures and elements captured in this single frame.

I agree +Brian Matiash , that fog sure adds to that shot. This really reminds me of some of the shots from the movie "Gorillas in the mist". That adds such mystery to the shot. It looks like something might be lurking there. Creates that tension that keeps you staring at it. Great shot!!
