All doom and gloom

By | 2013-12-29T18:53:12+00:00 Aug 31st, 2013|
I was going through my photo library last night with +Nicole S. Young to help her find a particular image when I came across this one of the famed Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. I took it last year which incidentally was my first time ever visiting California. There was something about this photo that popped off the page for me and despite attempting a few different stylization options, I ended up going with the broody B&W and adding heavy focus on the crashing waves at the base of the bridge.

Great contrast.  Love the lines.  I'd say pretty much shot from the perfect spot.
    Great job Brian.

Spooky. I expect a witch or Voldemort or a dragon to come flying out of the clouds.

There are times I think that all those lines are just puppeteer strings holding the bridge up from the waters below, +Brian Matiash ;)

You definitely captured what I would call a "foreboding" scene. Looks like everything is about to break loose. I like the emphasis of the waves. All part of the power of the scene. Nice job Brian!
