One of the most fun experiences that I’ve had in Australia thus far was when Nicole S. Young and I were treated to a wonderful picnic get-together with a cadre of salt-of-the-earth Tassie photographers, organized by the uber Matt Glastonbury.
After the sun had long retired for the evening and the bottles of wine were consumed, our light show up in the sky and in the water began. It was simply a good time with good people in a wonderful country. I’ll fondly look back on that evening for a very long time with hope that we can do it again soon.
In terms of processing
This was a layer blend of two exposures using +onOne Software Perfect Layers. The first exposure captured the beautiful stars and the second, shorter image captured the motion of the two LED strings.
The stylization was finalized using the Develop Module of Lightroom 4.3 although not too much was done.

When I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now every time a comment is added I get 4 emails with the same comment. Is there any way you could take away me from that service? Thanks!

Awesome, great to see the results of your star shot and my LED spinning :) I recall you mentioning you’d blend some shots together, and this looks fantastic!
