We’ve stil got the better part of the day before our flight to Australia, so I figured that it would be good form to share an image similar to what I’m hoping to see as we’re burning rubber down the Great Ocean Road. I know that we’ve got a helicopter ride scheduled to fly over the 12 Apostles, so I’ve been doing some research in terms of what would make a compelling frame. I’ll be slinging my 5D3 with a long lens (Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS II and Canon 1.4x TC III, courtesy of BorrowLenses.com) and the 5D2 with either the Canon 24-105 f/4L IS or the much wider Canon 14mm f/2.8L II. I’m not sure yet.

BorrowLenses.com also supplied me with the luscious Sony RX-1 to field test while in Oz. In the few hours that I’ve already spent with it, I can tell you that it continues to make me weep gently on the inside over just how beautiful it is and how sharp the images turn out.

In the meantime, here’s a shot of sunrise over Bandon Ocean Wayside. :)

In terms of processing
Not much done here other than some basic editing in Lightroom 4.3. Never underestimate the power of the Develop Module. :)
