As someone who was born and raised in the urban jungles of Brooklyn, if you would have told me when I was 15 that I’d be living in an area filled with waterfalls, I’d probably laugh. In fact, for most of my life, I never thought I’d leave New York City. And then after living in the Boston area for almost eight years, I never thought I’d leave the Northeast US. Now, living almost 3,000 miles away from my family, I can honestly say that I don’t think I’ll ever leave Portland. Keep staying weird and beautiful, PDX.
