This was the last image I took as I left Epcot a few months ago. I had a wonderful day with some amazing friends, all of whom I met on Google+. Keith Barrett was the man of the hour (for many consecutive hours) as he played tour guide for Gilmar Smith, Kathy Porupski, and Barb Cochran.
I framed this shot specifically to give the impression of standoff between the tree and the oversized golf ball. I was actually happy that the moon was partially covered with clouds because it helped keep the attention away from itself and put it back on the two primary elements.
In terms of processing
This is a seven exposure tone-mapped HDR image. Stylization was done by combining Lord of the Rings, and custom Tone Enhancer, and Rich Glow within Perfect Effects 4 by onOne Software.
Final touches were applied in Lightroom 4.3 RC.
