I had a wonderful time photographing along the Cedar Creek grist mill on Saturday. The heavy rain would be a natural deterrent but with the proper rain cover and resolve, anything is possible.
I originally walked right by this scene, figuring that whatever laid beyond that curved path was more interesting, but I double-backed to put on the rain cover for my Airport Antidote v2 bag, thoughtfully included by Think Tank. When I made my second attempt towards this path, I saw this particular shot literally out of the blue. I love the way the path is surrounded by so much nature. A little manmade footprint shrouded in natural beauty.
Rain, rain, don’t go away.
In terms of processing
I globally applied some Magic Forest and masked in some Cyberpunk onto the pathway to help it stand out from the dominant greens and browns. I also added a touch of Charge More Glow. All in Perfect Effects 4 by +onOne Software.
Final touches were applied in Lightroom 4.2.
