En Route To The Vista House

By |2012-09-22T13:01:28+00:00Sep 20th, 2012|

It feels sooooo good to have a few hours where I can just work on some older images. The past few months have been nonstop with prep work for announcing Perfect Photo Suite 7 and now we’re doing double-duty to prepare for launch/ship. This is an image taken back in January, during a solo jaunt through the Gorge.

I went in hot with stylization here. I’m testing out some more of the new effects and brush performance of Perfect Effects 4. Trust me when I say that the Perfect Brush we built is going to be un-freaking-real.

Ooo.  I was there last weekend!  You live in the Portland area?

I thought that the road was closed to it for the year. I was driving on the old highway several weeks ago and it said that it was going to be closed until Dec. 31st. Did you come in from Corbett?

it's closed, but AT the vista house.  You can still approach from the west.

just be on your toes, the road is buckled in places before you get there…  take it really slow.  when it says "rough road", it means it.

I noticed that!! I tried to shoot the Vista House from the Portland Women's Forum and it was SO overgrown. You could barely see it from there.

I drive by this all the time, as my mom lives out on the coast. Have always wanted to stop, but never have. I will have to make a trip.

I stopped at the Women's Forum and shot the Vista House a few weeks ago–on a 3500 mile road trip. Saw what Brian had done with it in his inspirational series.

I think you used this same place in a different shot (as in above and showing the river) in one of your videos or webinars if I recall correctly. I loved that shot and this one too! Really nice Brian!
